I’m happy to have my parents here with me this week and my dad on my bag.

Interview after Day One

Quote after Round Three:
Allison Emrey (-1, T6) on her eagle on the par-5 8th:
“It was the perfect number, 77 yards and I hit my 56-degree which goes 75 yards and there was a little down slope there, so it was perfect. It hit a little short and I guess went in.”

Article after Final Round:
EMREY CLAIMS CAREER-BEST RESULT NOT FAR FROM HOMETOWN
Six birdies in the final round of the Carolina Golf Classic presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina helped North Carolina native Allison Emrey (Charlotte, North Carolina) to a Symetra Tour career-best finish of runner-up. Her 2-under par 70 today capped a 3-under overall week at Pinehurst No. 9.

“This course is pretty tough, so I was just trying to hit fairways and greens,” said Emrey, who hit 50 of 56 fairways during the tournament. “Ana was playing great, so I felt like she ran away with it and I was just trying to give myself a chance for second. It feels great. I have been working hard and not quite seen the results yet, so it’s nice to put together a good tournament.”

Emrey now has three top-10 finishes this season on the “Road to the LPGA.” The Wake Forest University alumna moves up to No. 13 on the 2020 Money List.

November 3-6 at River Run Country Club in Davidson, NC
144 players | 4 days (cut to the top 60 and ties after round 2)
72 holes | Par 71 | 6,117 yds | $250,000 purse

Tee Times
Day One:   8:44 AM EST Group 10 Tee 10 with Sierra Sims (Tampa, FL) and Hira Naveed (Perth, Australia)
Day Two:  10:53 AM EST Group 23 Tee 1 (same pairing)
Day Three: 9:25 AM EST Tee 1 with Sophia Schubert and Sophie Hausmann
Day Four: 8:44 AM EST Tee One with Amanda Sambach and Maude-Aimee Lablanc

Before the tournament started, Symetra sat down with my good friend, Laura and me and taped a session of “Me vs Her”.

Quote from Symetra article:
“Coming off my career-best finish on the Symetra Tour, I look forward to picking up right where I left off this week at River Run Country Club for the Symetra Tour Championship,” said Emrey, a 2015 All-ACC selection. “I’m proud to represent my alma mater in the same state I competed collegiately and it will be exciting to rep the Black and Old Gold in the last event of the 2020 season.”
