I am so excited to play close to home again this year as the Tour travels to Davidson, NC. It means a lot to be able to stay at home and sleep in my own bed. Being on the road competing for nearly half the year truly makes you cherish the time you have at home, so to have a tournament week in Charlotte makes it that much sweeter. After the Davidson event, we will be in Florida for two weeks.

After Round One
Allison Emrey (-3, T2) on what it means to play at home for the Symetra Classic: “It feels good to have a solid first round. I stuck to my game plan and was able to execute it well here on day one. It was great having my Dad caddy for me today too and seeing familiar faces cheering me on.”

Holding on to the lead or in a tie for the lead through most of the day, but failing to find some birdies and ended in solo third for the tournament.
Allison Emrey (-5, 3) on the week in North Carolina: “It was so nice to see a bunch of people out there today supporting everyone, but also nice to have some familiar faces and their support this week. Overall, I am really happy with how I played, today wasn’t great but it just wasn’t meant to be, I feel like I did my best. There are a lot of tournaments left, so my time will come.”
