Two and a half months ago marked another important milestone in my professional career when I competed in my first LPGA tournament and these following weeks been both gratifying and challenging.
I am grateful to Symetra Tour for providing me with the bridge between college and professional golf. I benefited from the camaraderie on tour and made many new friends. My first two years on Symetra Tour were invaluable for my career and were filled with learning experiences both on and off the course. However, I have come to realize that the transition between Symetra and LPGA won’t be as easy as I had hoped it would be. I have been enjoying the LPGA experience, but, at the same time, I am learning even more about myself and competing in professional golf.
After competing in six LPGA events and a qualifier in ten weeks and logging many air miles – I realized that I needed to step back to reflect and refresh a bit. Often the Symetra events would be geographically consecutive, whereas the LPGA events have often been more distant (Hawaii, L.A., Dallas, Williamsburg, Ann Arbor, Atlantic City, Grand Rapids). I am also surprised how taxing air travel can be and for the July events I will drive a bit more
Now, as the month of July approaches, I am ready to put into place the things I have been learning. There was a final Priority List reshuffle last week and this will make it harder for me to get into the future LPGA events. However, I am thrilled to be in two more LPGA events this month, the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic in Oneida, Wisconsin and the Marathon Classic in Sylvania, Ohio. I have been invited to play in a Charity event in Iceland and I will finish out the month in the Symetra Fuccillo Kia Classic in Albany, NY.

I was so thrilled to have the opportunity to play in a charity event in Iceland. This was my first time to Europe and I really enjoyed the experience. We lucked out on the weather because it was sunny most of the days! I was very surprised at how many golfers were there and how many courses. I am back in the states and looking forward to playing in a Symetra event in Albany.
