This has been a GREAT six months since I turned pro in July, I’ve learned so much and have had some awesome experiences! Q-School has been an amazing way to wrap up this chapter of my professional journey and also to prepare me for my rookie year on the 2016 Symetra Tour!
The hole-by-hole pressure and the talented competition at Stage III made for an intense week, even though I had played those same courses the week before and even though the weather was better than during the SunCoast tour. I was able to hit more greens and make more birdies than in the SunCoasts. The Jones course had dried out some but the greens were still slow and very different than the greens on the Hills course.
The weather this week was drier with only light, spotty rain on Saturday. The winds were still moderate with occasional gusts and the temperatures were a bit cooler especially the first day, but, warmed up some as we played each day.
Congratulations to my former Wake teammate, Cheyenne Woods, for earning her full LPGA card for the second time with a great round on Sunday to seal her place in the top 20 finishers.
The Symetra Tour 2016 calendar has been announced and as I find out which events I will compete in, I’ll update this blog. If you’re interested, here’s the link to the tentative schedule: http://www.symetratour.com/~/media/255fff4b0cdf40ec88f0eb7e18433a74/symetra%20tour%20schedule%202016.pdf
As 2015 comes to an end, I want to take a moment to thank all of you for your tremendous support. Thanks also to my sponsors, Bridgestone Golf and Swing Control, for supporting me with their equipment to help me get through the season. I am really appreciative of the generosity they have given me.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
