This was my first experience on tour for five weeks without a break; fortunately, the second week was in my hometown which helped me cope with this long stretch. I am continuing to learn better time management during tournaments and how to adjust each week to a new course.
Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Women’s Health Classic in Greenwood, SC
The whole town of Greenwood warmly welcomed us to their community this week – Southern hospitality at its best!
Meet Barbie Q., she brought me good luck on Friday with a pretty birdie on her hole, #13. She was just one of the many topiaries featured on the course.
The Links at Stoney Point was a great course that I enjoyed playing. The greens were bermuda with lots of undulation. I had a hard time judging the speed this week and seemed to always be on the wrong side of the hole.
Symetra Classic in Charlotte, NC
I was very excited to return to the Symetra Classic at Raintree Country Club. I had played in this event as an amateur two years ago and I have competed here several times in high school. Being home this week was GREAT! Mom’s home cooking; spending time with my family (including Deacon!); and sharing this event with friends were the highlights. It was also fun to participate in several events held this week.
I was happy to be in Charlotte the same week that Providence Country Club hosted a Make a Wish charity event. I had a great time there; it was so inspiring to hear Lauren’s wish and how she overcame cancer.
Playing in the Daddy Daughter Clinic was fun, thanks to Coach Shack and his daughter.
And I was able to practice my interview skills with several local media outlets. Many thanks to ESPN 730 & The Golf Shop Show, WCCB Charlotte, WTNZ Sports and the LPGA for inviting me.
It was great to see so many children come out to watch.
The North Course at Raintree Country Club has several narrow fairways with doglegs. The greens have a lot of breaks in them – making even short putts challenging. I loved being back on bent greens and was excited to play a course I am familiar with.
I am the second player teeing off in this video. You can see how chilly it was on the final morning and can also view some of the course. My day warmed up nicely with an eagle on the par five #10 hole.
Chilly morning as @jaclynjansen / @CLTgov‘s @AllisonEmrey tee at @SymetraClassic!

Gosling’s Dark’n Stormy® Classic in Milton (Atlanta), GA
The course at the Atlanta National Golf Club played tough because it had rained a lot the week of the tournament making the course very wet. There was a lot of slope throughout the course which made approach shots difficult.
It was fun having my dad caddie for me and my family with me during these three nearby events.
W.B. Mason Championship in Brockton (Boston), MA
Leaving the familiar landscape of the south, the next leg of our tour took me to the Northeast and the first stop was outside of Boston in Brockton, MA. I was invited to play in the ProAm event here and enjoyed meeting and playing with this group.
The course at Thorny Lea was very flat and narrow. I enjoyed playing on a different type of grass (bluegrass). I think the course set up well for my game because it was narrow off the tee and you needed to hit a lot of greens.
The weather in Brockton was fairly warm for the area until the final day when it turned seasonal. The winds were moderate.
GolfZilla, Birdie Ball’s targeting system came to visit!
Fuccillo Kia Championship at Capital Hills in Albany, NY
The course at Capital Hills was very hilly and its grass similar to Boston’s. The highlight of this week was being able to stay with my boyfriend’s family in Albany. They took me out to celebrate my birthday while I was there and came to watch me play.
Many thanks to all the gracious host families and to everyone who has supported me during these weeks. The tour has been challenging, but, I’m still excited to be living out my dream.
