In July I celebrated my first anniversary as a professional golfer and now there are only six more events on the 2106 Symetra Tour! This has been a phenomenal year! After a short break and an exciting weekend in Maryland, I headed back to South Dakota to start the next two weeks on tour.
My weekend in Maryland was memorable. I attended a former Wake teammate’s beautiful wedding at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, spent time with some college friends, and did some sightseeing in D.C. (even watched President Obama’s helicopter landing on the South Lawn and toured the Naval Academy and the Capitol)! There are so many things to see in D.C. , I was truly inspired and hope I can return soon!
Back to work, I’m traveling deeper into the MidWest and visiting another state, South Dakota, for the first time. Here we are competing in The GreatLIFE Challenge, which is a four-day tournament and has the second largest purse of this year’s tour. From Sioux Falls, I will make a detour to visit Mount Rushmore before heading south to Garden City, Kansas and to the first of two events that will be held there – The Garden City Charity Classic at Buffalo Dunes.
