Suncoast Tour Q-School Prep Events at LPGA International | Allison Emrey

It was super exciting to be at the LPGA International Course in Daytona and I appreciate the opportunity of prepare for next week’s Q–School Stage III by playing in these two events. The first took place on the Hills Course, Nov. 18-20. This course was playing tighter with doglegs. The weather was the typical warm, humid and occasionally rainy weather you’d expect in this area. Winds were often gusty and strong for both events. Play was suspended on the first day on Hill due to a heavy downpour.

The second tournament was held on the Jones Course (Nov. 22-24) and weather played an important part when over five inches of rain late on Saturday flooded the course and cancelled Sunday’s Round One. We played out this tournament with 36 holes over two days. The course was slow to drain and therefore the greens on Monday were very slow. This course was more open with undulated greens.

My mom and I are traveling back to Charlotte to enjoy Thanksgiving with our family. Then on Sunday my dad and I will travel back to Daytona for the final stage of LPGA Q-School.

I am thankful for all of your support and encouragement and I hope you all have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
