I enjoyed my three weeks out West and was able to fit in two fun, interesting days sightseeing in the San Francisco area. I stayed with great hosts in each location. It was exciting to add to my resume: my lowest professional score of 66 at Morongo in Beaumont and a top ten finish in Windsor.
The weather was cold in Beaumont and windy at times. I was happy with my play and was excited to get experience being near the lead going into the final day. I got that experience again in Windsor and was able to handle the pressure better. I felt much more comfortable being in one of the final groups. I’m also glad to have had the experience of playing in the desert at the prestigious Longbow Golf Club in Mesa. All of these experiences are unique and add to my learning of professional golf. I am excited with where my game is headed and looking forward to the next couple weeks.
John O’Connell – our volunteer cart-driver blogged about my first day in Mesa.

Bottom is a photo of the Windsor course on Friday following 2 inches of rain overnight – forcing all play to be postponed until Saturday and the event shortened to 36 holes. The amazing ground crews removed the water and made the course playable again as shown in the top photo.
The next three weeks will be in the Southeast and each are at courses I played last year. I’m in Sarasota, FL this week and Atlanta next week, these are Friday through Sunday events. Then, following a short break, I’ll compete in a four-day tournament in Greenwood, SC. Atlanta and Greenwood are close to home and my Dad will be on my bag!
